Careers Opportunity

 
 Ryan Gold has openings for highly qualified and experienced geoscientists for permanent employment on field based exploration projects in the Yukon Territory in Canada. We are looking for Senior, Project and Junior Geologists to work on various gold projects in 2012 and beyond.

Applicants should have the following education, experience and competencies:

Senior Geologist
  1. A 4-year B.Sc. degree in Geology is the minimum requirement.
  2. A minimum of 6 years relevant experience in mineral exploration and project development.
  3. Registered Professional Geoscientist.
  4. Health, safety and environmental management, managed drill, geochemical and geophysical programs, managed up to 30 geological staff and contractors.
  5. Competent geological and structural mapper, experience in core, chip logging and sampling.
  6. Experience in budget preparation and report writing.
  7. Capable GIS user and familiar with associated programs e.g., ArcGIS and Geosoft Target.
  8. Knowledge and experience with data management and associated programs such as AcQuire and Access.
  9. Fit and capable of working in remote field camps for extended periods of time.
  10. Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills and enjoys working in a team environment.
  11. Strong organizational and communication skills and can motivate people.
Project Geologist
  1. A 4-year B.Sc. degree in Geology is the minimum requirement.
  2. A minimum of 3-5 years relevant experience in mineral exploration and project development.
  3. Registered Professional Geoscientist.
  4. Health, safety and environmental management, managed drill, geochemical and geophysical survey programs, managed up to 10geological staff and contractors.
  5. Competent geological and structural mapper, experience in core, chip logging and sampling.
  6. Experience in budget preparation and report writing.
  7. Capable GIS user and familiar with associated programs e.g., ArcGIS and Geosoft Target.
  8. Knowledge and experience with data management and associated programs such as AcQuire and Access.
  9. Fit and capable of working in remote field camps for extended periods of time.
  10. Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills and enjoys working in a team environment.
  11. Strong organizational and communication skills.
Junior Geologist
  1. A 4-year B.Sc. degree in Geology is the minimum requirement.
  2. A minimum of 1-3 years' experience in mineral exploration (new graduates with relevant summer experience will be considered).
  3. Competent in the field, enjoys field mapping, sampling, core and chip logging and is able to work independently.
  4. Strong computer skills, familiar with GIS software packages and has basic knowledge of organizing data and map preparation.
  5. Fit and capable of working in remote field camps for extended periods of time.
  6. Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills and enjoys working in a team environment.
  7. Strong organizational and communication skills.

    Applicants for the above Geological positions should also be in possession of:

    1. A valid Canadian Drivers Licence.
    2. First Aid Certification (Levels 1 minimum requirement for Junior Geologist and Level II / III for Project and Senior Geologists).
    3. PAL Licence
